SCE CHEMICALS is an industrial company operating in the chemical and agricultural sectors. Its products are used as raw materials for industries operating in various sectors such as detergents, paints, wood, water treatment, cosmetics and agri-food.

Our company is looking for an experienced, talented and motivated IT engineer with expertise in BPCS software. You will be responsible for developing projects on ERP AS400, while ensuring the stability and security of the company’s IT systems.

MISSIONS

Your main tasks will be :

• Project management : Plan, coordinate and supervise IT projects, ensuring compliance with deadlines and budgets
• Needs analysis: Understand user and customer requirements in order to design appropriate IT solutions and ensure their translation into IT solutions, user requirements and define all the technical phases of ongoing projects by carrying out functional and technical studies, drafting technical documentation, assessing risks
• Database design : Design, implement and maintain databases to store and retrieve information efficiently
• Systems integration: Ensure compatibility and interoperability between different IT systems, guarantee implementation and manage the progress of IT projects by chairing meetings, setting objectives and deadlines for deliverables, carrying out the various tests required, correcting any anomalies, and validating deliverables
• Documentation : Create and maintain detailed documentation of systems, processes and computer codes
• Interface with IT service providers
• Participate in technology watch, and report to management
• Participate in drafting internal procedures.

PROFILE

• Degree in computer engineering or related field
• Proven experience in systems migration, with experience of AS400 (PBCS) preferred.
• Good knowledge of programming languages such as RPG, COBOL, Java, C++ etc.
• Operating systems knowledge: In-depth understanding of operating systems such as Windows, Linux, Unix, etc.
• Project management : Ability to effectively plan, organize and execute IT projects.
• Communication : Good communication skills to collaborate with other team members and explain technical concepts to non-technical people
• Adaptability : Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and changes in the IT environment
• Team spirit : Effective collaboration with other IT professionals and interdisciplinary teams.
