First sod - 1920
A major event in the history of Morocco was the discovery of large deposits of phosphate. Moroccan phosphate deposits were first mined in the 1920s. Since then, phosphate mining has greatly contributed to the economic development of our nation.

The company Chrifienne of fertilizers and chemicals seized, very quickly, the opportunity to become the first company valuation of the ore and its conversion into fertilizer, superphosphate. Moroccan agriculture has accelerated its progress using a fertilizer purely Moroccan.

The manufacture of this fertilizer requires sulfuric acid, the SCE has invested in a manufacturing unit of this acid. The Moroccan industry has benefited from the availability of the chemical basis for fruitful development.
